The Farm Chicks Antique Show 2013

Well it's almost a month later but I am FINALLY posting about
The Farm Chicks Show!

It was a fantastic, incredibly busy show,
and I loved every minute of it!!

Here are a few pictures of us setting up.  I missed getting some pictures
of our husbands helping us set up the heavy stuff, but they were great and it went
so much faster.

Here is my mom and Wes putting up the burlap sides.

Wes and I putting up more burlap!

Decorating the booth.

The end of set up day!

Beginning of day 1!
Not many pictures were taken on day 1 because we
were so incredibly BUSY!

We had to leave in the middle of the day to get
these little beauties to a wedding that they were in 90 miles
away from the show!
(The Farm Chicks Show + family wedding = 2 busy, crazy, exhausted moms!)
But, we would do it again tomorrow, right?!

Thank heavens for my mom, Laura and Rina!!! They stayed to run
the booth for us and worked their buns off!!  Thank you ladies so much,
I could not have done it without you!!  Love you all!

Beginning of Day 2!
A little rearranging and some new items added.

Loved this little girl!  She came back to the booth multiple times
eying this vintage typewriter.  Finally, her mom said she could
buy it!  She used her own money and left
with the biggest smile on her face!

I hope you are still loving it!

End of the show:(  We made it!

My first-born and hardest working 8 year old I know came
to help us with tear down and clean up!

Here is what our booth looked like by the end of the show.
Pretty big difference don't you think?  We did well!!!

Thank you to all of our customers!  We really appreciate you!

Our tear down crew!

It's amazing we went from this:

to this in just 57 hours!!

Loading the booth back up.
Thankfully there was so much less to load
than what we unloaded!!

A big thank you to all of our family and friends who took time
out of their busy schedules to come and help us!
We love and appreciate you all!!

Can't wait until next year!!

Picking

Do you ever wonder when you drive by those abandoned
old buildings, barns and sheds what just might be in there?

Well, I do:)

Last week I had a couple hours while one of my kids was
at practice, so I grabbed a couple helpers and
we went picking!!

I had been in these old buildings before (with permission of course),
but wanted to go through one more time.  In case there
was something I missed!

Here is one of my helpers!  He had fun looking for treasures
on land where he was sure dinosaurs had roamed:)
We found a lot of wood in great condition
to be used for some projects I have in mind.

Exploring in a little shed FULL of treasures!

Here is my other big helper who loves to go
picking just as much as I do!

Thanks for your help boys:)

Are you excited?

Well, I am!!!

There are less than 6 more weeks until the greatest antique show around!  We are hard at work
getting all our inventory done, and I am up to my eyeballs (well okay, way past
my eyeballs!) in furniture, paint, home decor pieces, etc.!

Anyway, back to the title of this post!  You can find these fun postcards out

Easter

Happy Easter!
(Yes, I know it's 2 days after Easter, but thanks to blogger it took this long for my pictures to upload
and there are still more that never would:/)

Egg dying
This year we tried Kool-Aid to dye the eggs.  The kids thought it was pretty fun.

These 2 were my favorite - a little bit of turquoise coming through:)

Easter egg hunts
The kids got to be involved in many Easter egg hunts!
They had alot of fun and got alot of candy!

The annual Gilchrist Easter egg hunt and festivities

He was laughing so hard!

Easter egg hunt after church

Mom and Dad took us to brunch up at Banyan's after church.
It was very good and very reasonable.  Kids 6 & under eat for free!!

And finally, one more hunt at home!

On your mark, get set, GO!!

~Dinner for 14~
Hennigar's and Pittman's (just a few from each side!)

Oh yeah, what's Easter without the baskets!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

HE IS RISEN!
