Picking

Do you ever wonder when you drive by those abandoned
old buildings, barns and sheds what just might be in there?

Well, I do:)

Last week I had a couple hours while one of my kids was
at practice, so I grabbed a couple helpers and
we went picking!!

I had been in these old buildings before (with permission of course),
but wanted to go through one more time.  In case there
was something I missed!

Here is one of my helpers!  He had fun looking for treasures
on land where he was sure dinosaurs had roamed:)
We found a lot of wood in great condition
to be used for some projects I have in mind.

Exploring in a little shed FULL of treasures!

Here is my other big helper who loves to go
picking just as much as I do!

Thanks for your help boys:)

Easter

Happy Easter!
(Yes, I know it's 2 days after Easter, but thanks to blogger it took this long for my pictures to upload
and there are still more that never would:/)

Egg dying
This year we tried Kool-Aid to dye the eggs.  The kids thought it was pretty fun.

These 2 were my favorite - a little bit of turquoise coming through:)

Easter egg hunts
The kids got to be involved in many Easter egg hunts!
They had alot of fun and got alot of candy!

The annual Gilchrist Easter egg hunt and festivities

He was laughing so hard!

Easter egg hunt after church

Mom and Dad took us to brunch up at Banyan's after church.
It was very good and very reasonable.  Kids 6 & under eat for free!!

And finally, one more hunt at home!

On your mark, get set, GO!!

~Dinner for 14~
Hennigar's and Pittman's (just a few from each side!)

Oh yeah, what's Easter without the baskets!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

3 months......

(Well 2 1/2 months by the time I actually got this posted:) )

Until my favorite show of the year!

The Rustic Star will be back at this years show with 2 booths!  I can't wait!
That means I have 3 months to finish getting all my projects completed!  Yikes:)

Until our lil' guy turns 1:(

Wow, I can't believe he is 9 months old already!  He is such a good little boy and has been so much fun.  He is into absolutely everything and loves trying to keep up with his siblings.

Until swim lessons start again!

My kids ask almost daily when they get to go see Miss Dede again!  We are so lucky to have her teaching our kids these life-saving lessons!

Until summer begins and we get to spend some time at this place!

 Hopefully some time up here:

And definately times like this:

Part of me wishes these months go by VERY SLOW!!
(Especially until the big birthday!)

Bridal Shower

I recently hosted a bridal shower with my mom and sister
for a very good friend of ours!  I had so much fun with the decor.
A little rustic and shabby chic all in one!

~Here are a few pictures of the dessert/drink table~

Silverware wrapped in bandanas and placed
in small mason jars.
